Duplex stainless steel welded pipe

Duplex stainless steel has a dual-phase structure of α + γ, which combines the characteristics of austenitic stainless steel and ferritic stainless steel, making it a type of stainless steel with the best strength and corrosion resistance. Typically, with a low carbon content, the chromium content ranges from 18% to 28%, and the nickel content ranges from 3% to 10%. Some steels also contain alloying elements such as molybdenum, copper, niobium, titanium, and nitrogen. Compared to ferritic stainless steel, it has higher plasticity and toughness, no room temperature brittleness, and significantly improved intergranular corrosion resistance and weldability, while also retaining the 475°C brittleness and high thermal conductivity characteristics of ferritic stainless steel, as well as superplasticity. Compared to austenitic stainless steel, the yield strength is significantly increased, and the performance against intergranular corrosion, stress corrosion, corrosion fatigue, and abrasion is significantly improved.
